Tennis rules
A tennis match is played either one against one (singles), or two against two (doubles). The players face each other on opposite sides of the net.The ball is played back and forth over the net, and the players try to hit the ball so that the opponent has difficulty in being able to hit it back. The ball can only bounce once inside each player's half of the court. You can also choose to play the ball directly, without bouncing. The exchange continues until one of the players is unable to return within the court half or the ball goes into the net.
Scoring
A player wins points if the opponent does not reach the ball for a rebound, the rebound ends up outside the marked area of the court or the rebound ends up in the net. Each set consists of at least six "game". To win a game, you need to win four turnovers. The points are calculated as followed: victory in a turnover results in a 15-0 lead. Winning two ball exchanges make it 30-0. Three makes it 40-0. After winning four consecutive ball exchanges, it is called "game", and the game is won.To win a set, you must win at least six "games". There is also a requirement that the set must be won with two games. Originally, a tennis match is played best out of 3 or 5 sets.
Serving
The game starts when one of the players "serves", that is, puts the ball into play. For the serve to be accepted, the ball must hit the opponent's service box, a square area inside the opponent's half of the court.A ball from the serve cannot touch the net. If a serve hits the edge of the net and then ends up in the opponent's service box, the first serve must be taken again. The server has always two attempts to serve. If both attempts fail, the opponent gets points.
Equipment
The size of the track is marked with clear, white lines. Each player on the court uses a tennis racket, in addition you need a tennis ball.
