What kind of equipment can you rent?

At Athletica Kringsjå you can rent outdoor equipment, everything from tents and lavvus, to headlights and fishing rods. This is an offer that gives more people the opportunity to take part in the pleasures of outdoor life, without investing in lots of expensive equipment. It costs a small amount to rent per day. The payment is done at Athletica Kringsjå when you pick up the equipment you have booked.During the winter we also rent out cross country skis longterm, either for a month or for the winter season. See bottom of page.

Weekend is defined as rent on Friday, Saturday and Sunday (with a deadline for submission the following Monday before noon at 12 o'clock.*Note that there is no ground-floor (footprint) in the 8 tent/lavvu for 8 persons. If you rent a SUP-board you also have to sign a renting contract. .

How to book the equipment?

To rent equipment, you must create a user and book on this page. You pay for the rent when you pick up the equipment.You book the equipment for the days you want to rent, and pick it up at the reception at Athletica Kringsjå. You can pick up between 2 pm and 8 pm Monday-Thursday, between 2 pm and 6 pm on Fridays and between 1 pm and 4 pm Saturday and Sunday. You must return the equipment by noon 12 o'clock the following day after the last booking.If you want to rent over several days, book the equipment you need for each day you want to rent.

Booking rules

Booking rules for outdoor equipment:

• A booking lasts from 2 pm on the first day the equipment is booked, until 12 noon the following day after the last booking.
• In the event of late delivery of the equipment, you must pay the price for daily rent per day you exceed the deadline for delivery.
• The deadline for booking is 1 hour before the agreement starts.
• The booking opens at 6 am, and you can book for 7 days ahead.

By booking and picking up equipment, you accept the rules for returning the equipment.

Rental of outdoor equipment 6 weeks summer

Athletica Kringsjå offers long term rental of outdoor equipment throughout the summer (from week 27 until week 32) at a low cost. Since the gym is closed for the summer, you can pick up the equipment you want to rent for the entire summer during the last week we are open (week 27), and return it no later than week 32. The center reopens in week 31.During this period, there is no pre-booking of equipment as usual. It is first come, first served. You can come and rent the equipment from Monday, June 30th – Sunday, July 6th. Rental is available from the time the center opens until one hour before closing.Prices for long-term rental (six weeks) of the outdoor equipment can be found in the table below.

TermsOutdoor equipment that are rented for the summer must be returned by the date and time you have been informed. If the equipment is not returned on time, or if you have lost or damaged the equipment, you must replace it with 100% of the rental price per equipment. 

Monthly and seasonal rental of cross-country skis

Athletica Kringsjå offers cross-country skis for monthly rentals and seasonal rentals every winter.Rental of cross-country skis for the month and season is done by showing up at Athletica Kringsjå when the ski rental is open. We have a good selection with different sizes of ski boots, skis and poles, but can not guarantee that we have your size left. Here it is first come, first served.Opening hours for cross-country ski rental winter 2025The ski rental opens from Thursday, January 9. The ski rental is open:-Tuesdays from 12:00 PM to 3:00 Pm-Thursdays from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PMPrices:Season: 1200 NOK member /1400 NOK student, non-members1 Month: 650 NOK member /875 NOK student, non-membersThe ski package includes cross-country skis, ski poles and ski boots, given that we still have the correct size.

TermsSkis that are rented for the season must be returned by the date and time you have been informed. If the equipment is not returned on time, you will be charged 500 NOK. If you have lost or damaged the equipment, you must replace it with the following: ski poles 200 NOK, ski boots 500 NOK and skis 700 NOK.Ski tracks There are lots of nice trails in the field you can use.
