Continuous admission from eight months
In the student kindergartens we have continuous admission throughout the year if we have available spots, which means that you do not have to think about when your child is born when it comes to starting kindergarten.It is difficult to move studies and semester startup. To help with this your child can start already when it is eight months old, so that you can start your studies on time.
Extended opening, opening hours and exam guarantee
Student life is busy and during the intense exam periods autumn and spring we have free Saturday kindergarten, so you can have an extra reading day. SiO kindergartens are open most days during the Christmas and Easter holidays. We also offer extended opening hours during practice in studies if needed. Talk to the manager of your kindergarten for help.If your child becomes sick on the day of an exam, we offer to supervise the child in the kindergarten or in your home.

Meals
At SiO Kindergarten, we promote healthy eating habits through a varied, nutritious, and balanced diet.
Meals are important pedagogical activities in kindergarten and all children with student parents who pay the semester fee to SiO pays a reduced price of NOK 255 per month for hot lunch. Other parents pay NOK 500 per month for the food.Matibox delivers healthy and varied food four days a week. The last day of the week it is up to each individual kindergarten what they want to serve.
Water adaptation and school camp
We regularly use SiO's pool facilities at Domus Athletica so the children get water adaptation in a safe environment.Every spring, preschoolers go to school camp for two nights and for many this will be a magical first journey on their own without parents.
Birthdays and events
Students often do not have space for large children's birthdays and other events at home. Therefore, we offer parents to borrow the kindergarten for free when something is to be celebrated.
From august 2025 we release a digital booking system for borrowing our kindergartens.
Also when you've finished studying
When you have finished studying, your child can continue in the student kindergarten until the start of school.
