Every second year we have a review of all employee memberships to ensure that those who are entitled to the employee discounted price get it. We therefore need proof that you are still working at one of the places that have an agreement with SiO Athletica.

Deadline
The deadline to show valid proof is February 28th. If you have not confirmed this by this date, your membership will automatically be changed to an ordinary membership from April 1st. You will then be charged the difference between employee price and ordinary price for January, February and March. This comes on a separate invoice that is sent to your email address in mid-March.
How to show valid proof of employment?
Proof of employment can be shown at one of our receptions. If you are unable to show it at the reception, you can send us proof/copy of documentation via the contact form on sio.no/en: First select the category "Sports", then "StudentID/EmployeeID". We appreciate that you write "Employee status" in the subject field.
Personal data linked to your documentation is deleted from our systems after the status has been registered.
What is valid employee documentation?
We accept one of the following as a proof of employment:
Valid employee ID

No longer an employee
Are you no longer employed at a place that has an agreement with SiO Athletica? You can of course still be a member, but then the membership must be changed to an ordinary membership. We can help you with this at one of our receptions, or you can send us a message via the contact form on sio.no/en.

I am no longer an employee at a place with an agreement with SiO Athletica
You can of course still be a member, but then your membership will change to an ordinary membership from April 1st. You will then be invoiced for January, February and March. The invoice will be sent out in mid-March on a separate invoice by e-mail. We would also like to remind you that you must change the maximum amount on your Direct debit, and the email address associated with the membership in case this is an address you no longer have.
You must let us know so that your membership can be changed. Bring your valid student ID to one of our receptions and they will help you change your membership. Then you can cancel your membership. For termination, the normal termination rules apply. The notice period is one month counted from the first of the following month.
If you have canceled your membership, you will still be invoiced the difference between employee price and ordinary price for the months of January, February and March. To get a discounted membership price, you must be able to show that you are still employed at a place with an agreement with SiO Athletica.
Retirement/leave
If you are retired from a place with an agreement with SiO Athletica, you must send us documentation showing that your old employer can continue to subsidize your membership with SiO Athletica and that you will still be entitled to the employee price. If you are on leave, but are still employed at a place with an agreement with SiO Athletica, you may still be entitled to an employee price. Send us documentation that you are still employed even if you are on leave.
