Are you moving out? Here is an overview of everything you need to remember!
If you want to move before your contract expires, you need to terminate your contract on My page.
Your termination notice is 3 months. The termination is counted from the 15th or the last day of the month.
You will see the available dates for which you can terminate your contract in the Termination form on My page.
Check that your email address, phone number and bank account details are up to date on My Page.
If you have overpaid your rent, any refund will be paid to the bank account you have registered.
Remember to report your change of address to the postal service and update your contacts.
When you're moving out, remember to pack all your belongings and take with you anything that wasn't in the residence when you moved in.
Once that's done, you're ready to clean your residence. This often takes longer than you think so make sure to start early.
Follow the checklists below to ensure you remember everything!
If you lock your housing with a key card, you can complete the entire move-out process from the student village. Read how you do that under Register moving out on My Page.
If you lock your housing with a metal key, you can read what you need to do under Register moving out in our reception.
You will get a task on My Page 45 days before your tenancy contract expires. You must only complete this task after you have moved out all your belongings, cleaned the housing, and checked that everything is in order.
You must complete this by 12:00 daytime on the day your tenancy ends.
Finish moving out all your belongings and clean the housing first.
Leave your mailbox key on the floor inside your housing, by the door.
Leave the housing and lock the door.
Register your move-out on “My Page”.
Return your key card in the box labelled “Moving out on My page” in your student village.
If you have metal keys for your housing, or you don't want to register your move-out digitally, you need to return your keys to SiO Customer Service at Trimveien 4.
The deadline for returning your keys is 12:00 daytime on the day your tenancy contract expires.
Finish moving out all your belongings and clean the housing first.
Leave the mailbox key on the floor inside your housing, by the door.
Leave the housing and lock the door.
Place the metal housing keys in a small envelope labelled with your name and former address. Any key cards can be returned without an envelope.
You can either return the envelope through the hatch in the wall to the left of the key boxes by the main entrance, or at the SiO Housing reception during opening hours. The reception is located at Trimveien 4, through the main entrance and to the left.
Once you have returned your keys, we will register your move-out for you.

If you still wish to return your key card at the reception, you can either return the key card through the hatch in the wall to the left of the key boxes by the main entrance, or at the SiO Housing reception during opening hours. Remember that you must register your move-out on My Page before returning your key card.
If you do not register your move-out on My Page or return the keys to our reception by the deadline, you may be billed for additional expenses.
