What is Psychomotor Physiotherapy?Psychomotor physiotherapy focuses on increasing awareness and addressing tension in the body. This can help improve your connection with and understanding of your body.
Breathing patterns and muscle tension often change depending on how we feel. Stress, worry, conflicts, traumatic experiences, and life challenges affect both our bodies and how we experience them. Persistent tension patterns can lock in over time, leading to muscle and skeletal pain or other discomforts.
Who Can Benefit from Psychomotor Physiotherapy? This treatment may be suitable if you experience:
- Chronic muscle and skeletal pain – for example, headaches, IBS, pelvic pain
- Tension, restlessness, sleep problems, or fatigue
- Anxiety, depression, eating disorders, or trauma
The treatment always includes a conversation, followed by physical exercises or therapy on a treatment table. The goal is to empower you with tools for self-help.
How to Apply for Psychomotor Physiotherapy? If you’re interested in psychomotor physiotherapy, submit an application (further down this page) and specify your request in the text. The intake team will assess whether this treatment suits your situation.
