Skogly SIO Kindergarten is centrally located in the heart of Kringsjå student village. We are a diverse kindergarten working to ensure that everyone can be proud of themselves, their culture, and background. We have Songsvann, Nordmarka, and fantastic hiking opportunities as our closest neighbors.

Skogly is a lively and colorful kindergarten with a wide diversity of nationalities and languages. We view multicultural diversity as an asset for the kindergarten, and we strive for an inclusive community. Linguistic, religious, and cultural differences are a natural part of our everyday life, and here, each child gets space to be in focus and room to be themselves. At the same time, we aim to show respect for others' cultural, religious, ethnic, and personal differences.
Important values for us include tolerance, respect, and understanding. We work to encourage children to develop a positive curiosity towards diversity and to be well-prepared for the international community.
The kindergarten has approximately 50 children aged 8 months to 6 years. The two departments on the ground floor, Månen (the Moon) and Polaris, are for children between 8 months and 3 years old. The two departments on the second floor, Sirius and Føniks (Phoenix), are for children between 2 and 6 years old.
We love being outdoors, and with fantastic nature in the vicinity, we see nature as a great playground.
Welcome to SiO kindergarten
SiO kindergarten preserves the magic of childhood. Children live in the moment and must be given the opportunity to experience every day as meaningful and limitless. Play and children's wonder are our primary focus. Children can experience small moments as magical and must be given the opportunity to be spontaneous and impulsive. We want all children to feel that our kindergarten is a good and safe place to be, where everyone feels seen and recognized for who they are, and can be themselves regardless of gender and background.

To get a kindergarten place at the main admission, you must apply by 1 March. But in SiO Kindergarten, we also take in children on an ongoing basis when places become available. Please contact the board if you would like to visit.
