Lille Bamsebo

Little Bamsebo is located at Campus Blindern. Its central location makes it easy to drop off and pick up children. The kindergarten is situated between the lower campus and NRK Marienlyst, and consists of Bamsebo 1 and Little Bamsebo 2.

Little Bamsebo and Bamsebo closely collaborate, holding joint gatherings, outings, and activities across the buildings. The interaction is tailored to the children's age groups.

Little Bamsebo boasts a large outdoor area with a slide, swing, sandbox, play boat, and a large green garden. Just outside the fence, we have a large grassy plain where we can frolic around.

Bamsebo features play structures, swings, a sandbox, stairs, slopes, as well as currant and blackberry bushes, apple trees, and cherry trees.

We are committed to inspiring various types of play, both outdoors and indoors. We aim to ensure that all children can experience joy, humor, excitement, and engagement through play — both alone and with others. When play is at its best, time stops, and children engage in creative processes.

When we go on outings, we utilize the kindergarten's local surroundings. The area includes places such as Friggfeltet, the crocodile forest, Leker'n, and the library at Majorstuen. We have a short distance to many exciting places, such as the exhibitions at the Blindern Campus faculties, the swimming pool at Domus Athletica, or the gym at Blindern Athletica. Additionally, we have easy access to public transportation that can take us to other exciting locations in Oslo.

SiO kindergarten preserves the magic of childhood. Children live in the moment and must be given the opportunity to experience every day as meaningful and limitless. Play and children's wonder are our primary focus. Children can experience small moments as magical and must be given the opportunity to be spontaneous and impulsive. We want all children to feel that our kindergarten is a good and safe place to be, where everyone feels seen and recognized for who they are, and can be themselves regardless of gender and background.
