All non-resident students will need to bring an adequate supply of their prescribed medications for the duration of their stay. No schedule I or II (group A and B) medications will be prescribed during your stay in Norway. Under extenuating circumstances prior written arrangements might be made between SiO physicians and the patient’s home physician.Reed more here: Norwegian Custom.MRSA control screenings will be performed on all health care students upon arrival. Initiation of medical evaluation/treatment for pre-existing conditions is not covered by SiO Health Services unless there is an exacerbation requiring emergency services.It is highly recommended that all non-resident students purchase additional health insurance as services provided by SiO physicians are limited to Norway and based on immediate needs.Bringing medical products into Norway by travelIf you are travelling with medicinal products containing narcotic substances for more than 30 days of use, you must apply for permission from the Norwegian Medical Products Agency. It is important to send your application well in advance of your planned travel to Norway. We recommend that you post the required documents two or three months in advance.
