Why do we climate label baguettes, sandwiches and rolls?

We climate-label all our freshly made sandwiches, baguettes and wraps because we believe in transparency and informed choices. By making the climate footprint visible on each product, it becomes easier to compare different options. The goal is not to tell you what to choose, but to provide the information you need to make your own choices. Small decisions every day can make a big difference, and we want to make it easy to choose food that tastes great while also considering the climate.

At the buffet, each guest creates their own meal, meaning the carbon footprint will vary depending on the dishes and quantities selected. This makes climate labelling more complex than for pre-made products, where the contents are always the same.

During the autumn, example plates with calculated carbon footprints will be introduced. The aim is to provide inspiration and make it easier to understand how meal composition influences climate impact, giving guests a better basis for making informed choices.

Climate labelling is intended to be a useful source of information, not a definitive answer. The most important goal is to make it easier to see the differences between various options while keeping the enjoyment of food at the centre of the dining experience.
