SiO exists for students – and students play an important role in protecting the environment. That’s why we’re always working to improve our efforts in sustainability and climate action. But what does that actually mean?
Our mission and goals
SiO’s strategy is aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals. We want to contribute to a sustainable student life for students in Oslo.
SiO is now officially Eco-Lighthouse certified!
On March 4, the Student Welfare Organization SiO received its final certifications at Oslo City Hall. This means that all of SiO is now Eco-Lighthouse certified – with 33 certifications across our kindergartens, gyms, health services, and dining places.
This is a big milestone – both for SiO and for students. As a student welfare organization, we have a special responsibility to lead by example and help raise awareness among students about the positive changes the world needs.
